Preparing Yourself For Dance Class

As you find yourselves rushing through January towards the start of Term 1, use the checklist below to make sure you are ready for your dance class:

1. BOOK IN FOR YOUR CLASS

Speak to your teacher, discuss the timetable and enrol in the classes you would like to take this year. Remember, at Unite Dance Studio - your first new class is free, which makes it possible to try out a new class to see if you like it!

2. FOOTWEAR

Find out what SHOES you need for your classes. Jazz shoes, Ballet shoes, Tap shoes... it's imperative to your dance education that you are wearing the correct footwear in class. Your teacher can help you if you're not sure what you need, or head over to Stagezone Dancewear in Hoppers Crossing and mention you take classes at Unite Dance Studio. They will be able to guide you in the right direction.

3. CLOTHING

Make sure you haven't outgrown your activewear! Whilst we don't require students to buy and wear a specific uniform, we do ask that all students wear dance-appropriate attire to class. So maybe check that your leggings still fit, and treat yourself to some new threads so that you come to class feeling fantastic on your first week back.

4. GET READY

On the day of your class, make sure you have something healthy to eat before class to give you lots of energy, tie your hair back off your face, fill up a water bottle and get ready to have LOTS OF FUN!

See you in dance class...
